Neal’s Yard Remedies – Wild Rose

As I said in my previous post, I treated myself for Valentine’s Day. I placed an order at Neal’s Yard Remedies and purchased the Radiance Wild Rose Organic Collection gift set and their Bee Lovely Busy Bee Balm and I am so excited to share them with you.

Wild Rose Organic Collection Neal's Yard Remedies 1

Let’s start with the benefits of rose-hip oil. This oil is rich in fatty acids and vitamins and has anti aging and photo-aging protection. It is great for dry, sensitive skin and also for acne prone skin so is an excellent product for all skin types! Rose-hip oil is supposed to be very moisturising as the oil can penetrate deep  into the skin. It also minimise spots and makes them less red and heal more quickly

My skin, as I’ve said before, is insanely dry, I have a rash on my cheek that I just cant seem to shift. I have also been suffering from breakouts since November that I’m yet to get under control. I was lucky as a teenager and only got a single spot once in a blue moon so I have been finding it very difficult to cope with the breakouts. The majority of moisturisers I’ve been using have either really helped my dehydrated skin but caused more breakouts or not caused any further spots but not been particularly moisturising. I am still on the search for the perfect skin care regime and I’m really hoping this Wild Rose set is going to be the solution!

Neal's Yard Remedies Wild Rose Organic Collection

The Radiance Wild Rose Organic Collection gift set contains four products. A full size Wild Rose Beauty Elixir, a travel size Wild Rose Beauty Balm and Wild Rose Body Elixir and finally an organic muslin cleansing cloth.

Wild Rose Beauty Balm

This balm has six main uses, a deep cleanser, a moisturiser, a gentle exfoliator,  a lip balm, a nail balm or a facial mask. I personally have been trialing it as a cleanser. I’ve always been put off using a balm as the consistency doesn’t really appeal to me but boy has my opinion changed! This balm has the most luxurious feeling on your skin and the smell of the rose oil makes me feel like I’m in a spa! As you massage it into your skin it becomes more of a dry oil rather than a thick consistency. You only need a small amount to fully cleanse your face. I honestly cannot speak more highly of this balm, it removes my makeup so easily and then I recleanse and place the muslin cloth over my face to steam the oils into my skin before washing it off. My skin feels super soft straight away and looks insanely clean! I would definitely advise investing in this product! It’s sold alone as both a travel size and a full size as well as in this set.

Wild Rose Beauty Elixir

This beauty elixir is a light wear serum. You only need one pump to cover your whole face generously so this bottle is going to last ages! After just one use I already notice a difference in my skins moisture levels, my skin looks clearer, more plump and more hydrated. Even my rash on my cheek doesn’t have any bits of flaky dry skin! Honestly this product is a miracle, I can’t wait to keep using it! I have applied this serum alone and with makeup over the top. When I applied my makeup over the top I was so surprised at what a good base this serum was! It made my makeup go on smoother than any primer I’ve used has! I know the £45.50 price tag might put some people off but for how little you need to use to have such a major effect on your skin, I feel it’s worth it. Every beauty guru says the one skincare product you should spend the bigs bucks on is a good serum and I think this is the one you should be investing in!

Wild Rose beauty Balm Body Elixir Neal's Yard Remedies

Wild Rose Body Elixir

This Elixir is clear with a thick consistency similar to the beauty balm. I think it’s perfect for a pamper night in. The product slowly sinks into the skin so I wouldn’t advise using this when you’re rushing to get out the door. It’s super moisturising and has the same gorgeous scent that makes me feel like I’m at a spa! I’ve also been using this as an intensive hand balm, to help my eczema, before I go to sleep and I’m really pleased with the results!

As you can tell I love this set and I definitely think it’s worth splurging on. I also got a little Bee Lovely Busy Bee Balm from NYR. I love using beeswax products on my lips, I always have a Burt’s Bees lip balm with me. I’ve been using the NYR Busy Bee balm at night to really hydrate my lips. It comes in an adorable little pot and contains beeswax, cocoa butter and orange essential oil.

I hope you enjoyed reading this review! Leave comments and let me know if you’ve tried the Wild Rose Organic Collection or any other Neal’s Yard Remedies products!
