As soon as you read the words Holy Grail I’m sure there are products that pop straight into your mind that you know you just could not live without! All of the products that spring to my mind are things I’ve been using for years and are staples in my beauty routine. Here’s my top 5 products I couldn’t be without!
Original Beauty Blender
It took me a while to give in and purchase a beauty blender, the £16 price tag always put me off. It seems a crazy price for an egg shaped pink sponge. Like I always do though, I gave in and purchased one to see what all the hype was about and now there’s no way I’ll go back. I’ve tried numerous beauty sponges including the Real Techniques blending sponge in an attempt to find a more affordable sponge but nothing compares to the original beauty blender. It blows my mind how much this little sponge expands when placed in water and I adore the finish this gives my foundation.
Mac – Strobe Cream
This was the first ever product I purchased from Mac, I’ve been using this everyday for years! I first heard about it from Allana Davison (if you haven’t heard of her, you need to check her YouTube out!) Mac describe Strobe cream as ‘A moisturizer that boosts the look of dull skin and luminizes with iridescent particles.’ I wear this daily under my foundation, not only does it moisturise my skin but it gives it a lovely natural healthy glow, something I normally struggle to achieve due to having such dull, dry skin. I also wear this on its own when I’m having a ‘no makeup’ day as the glow it gives you is so natural.
*Tip – it’s more cost effective to purchase the travel size Strobe cream than the full size! The travel size is 30ml for £10 (£33.33 per 100ml) and the full size is 50ml for £25 (£50.00 per 100ml)!!!*
Nars – Radiant Creamy Concealer
I searched far and wide to find a concealer that was pale enough for my skin but was also high coverage, long lasting and didn’t crease as I need to put a lot of concealer on to cover up my awful dark under eye bags! (Any tips to get rid of them or atleast minimise them are greatly welcomed!) The Radiant Creamy Concealer is amazing! I have the shade Chantilly. It ticks every box on my list, it’s very high coverage but doesn’t look cakey. I love that it can be used as an under eye concealer as well as to conceal blemishes. Honestly if you haven’t tried this I’d totally advise purchasing it, it’s worth every penny and definitely something I repurchase again and again!
Marc Jacobs – Daisy Eau de Toilette
This has been my go to perfume for years! My mum bought me it for Christmas years ago and I fell in love with it. I recently purchased their limited edition bottle to go along with my growing collection! I love the packaging of the perfume, it looks so pretty sitting on a dressing table and it comes in different sizes. The handbag size is adorable and comes with a refil tube with is really handy! I’m extremely picky with perfumes as I don’t like a perfume to be overpowering. As the name would suggest Daisy is a floral smelling perfume with a mix of violet, strawberry, jasmine, musk and vanilla notes. It’s a lightweight perfume and perfect for everyday!
Burts Bees lip balm
I couldn’t make a Holy Grail post without mentioning my beloved Burts Bees lip balms! I mentioned them in my January Favourites , I always have one in my pocket or handbag. My favourite flavour is pomegranate and I love that it has a slight pink tint meaning when my lips are very dry I can use this instead of a lipstick. I love using products with beeswax, they work really well with my sensitive skin! I’m actually running low on my stock of them so I shall have to repurchase some new ones soon! If you have any flavour suggestions let me know in the comments.
I hope you enjoyed hearing about my Holy Grail products, are any of these on your list? Let me know what some of your Holy Grail products are!
