Wow. It’s May! This year seems to be flying by, I feel like I only wrote my March Favourites last week! I’ve a mix of makeup and skin care bits this month. I haven’t strayed too far from my usual products this month though and I even rediscovered an old favourite!
Stila Highlight Heaven’s Hue – Kitten
This is hand on heart the softest, butteriest highlighter I have ever felt in my life. Back at the end of March I was lucky enough to win a giveaway ran by Stila and this gorgeous highlighter was the prize. It’s not a cream highlight but not a powder highlight either. It’s a weird combination of the two. It is such a stunning shade though. Definitely a pinky highlight which has a slightly bronzey tone. It’s extremely pigmented so I wouldn’t say it’s for everyday wear, even for me and I’m completely obsessed with having an obvious highlight, unless you are very light handed. I’ve been wearing this for nights out and it looks stunning, I’ve had so many compliments! Stila is also cruelty free, a big plus!!
Bloomtown Sweet Almond and Shea Sugar Scrub- The Meadow*
I have a full post on lots of Bloomtown goodies and quite frankly I could feature them all in my April favourites but this was my absolute favourite product out of the ones I tried! This is an all natural sugar scrub that gently but very effectively exfoliates. It smells absolutely incredible! Scented with a mix of lavender, rose geranium and camomile. You don’t need a major amount to exfoliate with as the sugar does an amazing job. The pot I have is the travel sized version and I will 100% be buying the full size when this one is finished (it’s almost done!😢) because it is absolutely incredible! Well worth trying out and it’s natural and cruelty free, what’s not to like?
Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro 1 Palette
This pallete is a dupe for the Lorac Pro palette, something I was desperate to have but that’s next to impossible to get in the UK so I thought this Makeup Revolution palette was the perfect alternative! All the shades are very pigmented and blendable. They’re almost exact colour matches for the Lorac Pro palette from what I can tell from swatches online. This palette has a great mix of everyday colours and colours for a darker smoky eye. I’ve had this for ages but I’ve been reaching for it a lot this month. One of my favourite shades is the browny matte shade, third along on the top row. It’s perfect for blending into your crease to give your eyes a bit of definition for everyday!
Gatineau Defi Lift 3D*
I was kindly sent this cream by BeautyExpert and I’ve fallen in love with it, much to my disappointment as it has an £80 price tag! This has a texture almost like a gel/butter rather than cream. It’s very smoothing and lightweight but is extremely hydrating. I apply this before going to bed and have been waking up with the smoothest skin! It’s an anti wrinkle cream so I’m hoping it’ll keep my hated ‘smile lines’ away and those pesky lines on my forehead from having an ‘expressive’ face as my mum likes to say! I’ll be gutted when this pot runs out, I’ll have to save up and treat myself to a new one!
I hope you liked seeing what I’ve been loving this month. Have any of these been on your favourites list? What have you been loving?
