I’m sure you all know by now that I love rose in my skincare. It’s something that really works for my skin type and doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin but also hydrates all the dry areas! I was delighted when Amaki asked if I wanted to try their Jasmine and Rose oil* out.
Amaki are a natural, cruelty free brand based in America. They’re wanting to branch out to the UK now so two of their products, this Jasmine and Rose Oil and their Japensese Tsubaki Anti Aging Oil are now available to buy on Amazon UK.
This oil contains argan, evening primrose, jojoba, sweet almond and rosehip oils. Along with an added blend of the therapeutic essential oils jasmine, bergamot and geranium.ย I absolutely love the packaging and way this oil looks! It’s so photogenic! The minimalistic packaging really shows off the oil. It also has actual rose hips floating in the oil! The bottle is glass and I think it looks so classy. It also has a good sized dropper.
This oil is multi purpose so can be used on the face, body, nails, cuticles and even in hair.
This is a dry oil so you’re not left with a greasy residue when you’ve applied this to your skin. It smells gorgeous. Using the little dropper I put around three or four drops on my fingers tips, rub them together and then massage the oil into my face and neck, paying particular attention to my extra dry areas. It feels really smoothing and hydrating and sinks into skin quickly. I then apply my day or night moisturer over the top. (Although you can use this product on its own too)
I’ve been using this every evening for the past few weeks after cleansing and it’s working wonders for my dry skin. It hasn’t cause any breakouts or reactions to my sensitive skin which is amazing. I’m always apprehensive when using a new oil as my skin can be so temperamental. I’ve also been using this as a cuticle oil and on the ends of my hair. If you follow me on twitter you might know I got my hair cut for the first time in 2 years and my hairdresser has advised I start using an oil on the ends to try and maintain it better so I’m loving using this. (And hope my hairdresser sees a difference when I next get my hair done!)
I’m looking forward to the rest of Amaki’s range coming to the UK and trying out a few more of their products! Do you use any facial oils?

I have normal-dry skin and I want to try this out now! I’ll have to consider it since it’s summer and the weather in Cali gets craaazyy, so my skin may be less dry than in the winter. Great review. ๐

This oil looks amazing. O haven’t actually used any face oils because I’m always scared that it’ll make my oily areas even worse. I really like the sound of this product. Definitely going to check it out! xx

Oooh, an American brand! I always see your reviews and think ‘ugh when will that make it to the States, because I really want it!’ Does this leave any residue on your sheets? I’ve got to start taking better care of my hair and this sounds like a lovely way to start!

I use Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery oil almost every night! And I notice so much if I miss a few days. I have quite a lot of rose products too (love Lush’s rose water toner) as I sometimes have quite red skin so it really helps tone it down!
This oil looks so beautiful!

I think I heard that brand before and I should try it at least for my neck area since we sometimes forget to take care of our neck like giving hydration to that part of the skin.
