This past month from 15th May – 15th June was national smile month and the lovely people over at Brodie PR kindly sent me two products from the Janina dental care range to try out. You may have seen my Instagram post saying I was going to try these products out for a month and let you know my thoughts.
Due to having such sensitive teeth I’ve always been apprehensive about using teeth whitening products. The majority contain peroxide which eats away at your tooth enamel and makes your teeth even more sensitive! (Not something I’m willing to do just to get whiter teeth!) Janina dental products though are peroxide free! They use papaya and pineapple enzymes to whiten teeth naturally! (It doesn’t taste like fruit though!)
They have a full range of products and I’ve been trying their sensitive whitening tooth paste and their gentle teeth whitening foam. I’ve used them twice a day as advised for the past month to see if they really work. You should clean your teeth for 3 minutes and not rinse your mouth with water to allow the tooth paste to keep working even after you’ve stopped brushing.
Ultra White Whitening Toothpaste – Sensitive
The sensitive tooth paste has a very minty taste, kind of like Trebor strong mints. As I continued using the tooth paste I actually got used to this though and really like how clean it makes my mouth and teeth feel. Within 2 weeks of using this I could really start to see a difference and it’s definitely continuing to whiten my teeth after a month. It’s gradually whitens your teeth, rather than an a sudden change so I think this toothpaste is great for keeping stains like coffee away! I’ve noticed no difference in my teeths sensitivity levels and I really like using this. I think I’ve found my new tooth paste!
Teeth Whitening Foam
The gentle tooth foam is perfect for popping in your handbag when you’re out and about. You don’t need water for this foam. The minty taste of this isn’t as strong as the tooth paste. It’s great for freshening up after being out for a meal. Once again, you don’t rinse after using this foam allowing it to continue whitening your teeth even after you’ve stopped brushing. I haven’t noticed a major whitening effect with this product, though I suppose it could be working with the toothpaste. I think it’s so handy for popping in your bag when you’re out and about though and definitely something I’ll be continuing to use.
I honestly love this range and will 100% be repurchasing when both these are finished. It’s amazing to have found a natural way to whiten teeth that really works! You can buy the full Janina range from Boots. The sensitive tooth paste* costs £11.50 and the teeth whiten foam* costs £13.00. They’re current half price though so if you’re interested, it’s worth snapping them up now!
Have you tried anything from the Janina range before?
