Parts of my everyday makeup bag contents change depending on the season. I change up my foundation most days, the same for my lip (although Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk is a big favourite) and blush colour (my current go to is from Benecos) so they’re not included in my list. Ofcourse though, there are a few staples I use all year round that make up my everyday makeup bag.
I keep my everyday makeup in a bag by Christopher Vine Design. I like to have a large makeup bag because I pop brushes, foundation, blushes and lip products in too if I need to bring my bag out with me and those cute tiny makeup bags just do not have enough space for all my products!
Mac Strobe Cream
I’ve talked about this already in my holy grail products but I honestly couldn’t live without strobe cream! It’s hydrating for dry skin and gives your face a gorgeous louminous glow beneath your foundation. I always buy the travel size version as it’s actually more cost effective! I’m just about to change this well loved tube for a new one!
Mac Prep + Prime Transparent Setting Powder
This powder is what I put on top of foundation every day. It’s white but its not noticeable when dusted over the face. It takes all oil and shine away without being too heavy and clogging pores. I always pop this in my handbag when I’m out and about for touch ups. A top tip if you want to invest in this powder, to get it to last as long as possible, is to pierce the seal sticker five or six times with a pin rather than completly peeling it off. This means if you shake it, a little bit of powder comes out but not loads so it’ll last twice as long! Mine looks untouched and I’ve had it nearly two years now!
Mac Fix+
My favourite facial spray! I couldn’t live without this stuff. I spritz my face before I do my makeup to give it some extra hydration and I also use this after I’ve done my makeup to make sure my face doesn’t look too matte and powdery. I like to pop this in my handbag too and spritz my face throughout the day if it’s looking or feeling dehydrated.
NYX Micro Brow Pencil
This is my favourite brow pencil. Though recently the shade taupe has been looking a bit ashy so I might have to get one shade darker! I love it because it’s so quick and easy to use and it gives your brows a lovely natural look. It also has a spoolie on the other end which is very handy! I honestly prefer this to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz and it’s much more affordable!
Lancome Hypnose Mascara
My go to mascara for the past few years. I have all the versions from this range. The original Hypnose is my everyday mascara, then I like to mix it up in the evenings and go for Doll Eyes or Drama. It doesn’t flake and lasts all day. It’s also really easy to remove which makes me happy as removing mascara is one of my pet hates.
Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow
This is the palette of dreams. I lusted over this for years but I just had to give in and let me tell you, it is worth every penny of the £49 price tag! This is a pale girls dream bronzer. I have never tried a bronzer that looked so good. It’s perfect for contouring and bronzing, there’s no orange tone and its really buildable. The highlight gives a gorgeous lit from within glow. Another reason this is always in my makeup bag is for the mirror. It’s a really good sized magnifying mirror. I can do my whole face using this mirror if needs be.
Eyelash Curlers
The final thing I always have in my makeup bag are a set of eye lash curlers. I feel curling your eye lashes makes all the difference! Even if I’m not wearing mascara I always like to curl my lashes. It makes them more defined and makes your eyes look more open and awake.
