Pale Girl MakeUp Edit

So the lovely Becca from Tea with B and I have decided to get together and create two posts on the best makeup for you pale girls out there. I always struggle to find shades that compliment pale skin whether it be foundations and concealers or lip products that promise to be an ‘everyday nude’ and either drain all the life from your face or look almost red! So here are my top 10 products perfect for pale skin!

*For point of reference my skin is Mac NW13 and even that is slightly too dark so I’m a ghost!*

Pale Girl makeup edit

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer – Chantilly

This has to be the first pale girl product mentioned. It has been my go to concealer for years and the only concealer I’d ever found that was truly pale enough for me. It has incredible coverage, lasts all day and doesn’t cake or flake around any of my dry patches!

Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick & Bite Beauty Lip Liner #010

I have a full review on Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk lipstick which you can give a read if you like. It’s honestly worth every penny of the £26.95 price tag and my perfect everyday ‘my lips but better’ shade! I pair this with Bite Beauty’s #010 lip liner and I’m obsessed with the combination. It’s perfect for pale skin as it doesn’t wash you out due to the rich pink tone but also is subtle enough that it’s still in the nude category.

Pale Girl makeup edit

Revlon Colourstay foundation 110 Ivory

I was actually rather surprised by this foundation to be honest. I’ve done a full review of Revlon’s Colourstay foundation in the past and it’s actually stuck as a firm favourite. It’s the first drug store foundation I’ve found that’s truly pale enough. It has excellent coverage, really does stay on ALL DAY and wears very well. If you’re looking for an affordable drug store foundation this is the one to go for! They also have it in 2 different formulas, a normal/dry skin and a combination/oily skin formaula so there’s something to suit everyone!

NYX Strobe of Genius palette

How could I not mention this stunning palette?! You all know my love for the NYX Strobe of Genius palette by now but it wouldn’t feel right not to include it. This palette has so many shades perfect for us pale girls and is so affordable you’d be crazy not to pick it up!

Pale Girl makeup edit

Tarte Shape Tape – Fair

This is a rather recent find and I’m so pleased its light enough for us pale girls! I was so nervous buying this off the Tarte site as I obviously couldn’t swatch it in person but thankfully the shade is almost identical to my Nars Radiant Creamy concealer in Chantilly. I’m loving the coverage of this and how little you need to cover any blemishes so this is another must have for pale girls!

Pale Girl makeup edit

Lipstick Queen – Mornin’ Sunshine

This lipstick is a new find, I won it in a giveaway and I’m so glad I did because I’m obsessed. It’s perfect for pale skin because it changes colour to suit you! Cool huh? It uses the PH of your skin to decide what colour it’s going to be. The yellow changes to a gorgeous coral pink shade. My mum and sister have tried it on too and it’s a completly different colour on them as well so this will suit everyone!

Benecos Natural Powder blush*

I just love this blush for everyday! It’s affordable and cruelty free. It’s not insanely pigmented and it just gives your cheeks a gorgeous natural flush. Blush is difficult for pale girls because it can make you look like someone’s slapped you across the face! I’m currently on the hunt for more though and promise to do a post on perfect pale girl blushes in the near future!

Pale Girl makeup edit

Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow

If you’re a ghost like me then you need this pallete. I lusted after this for longer than I care to admit before finally giving in and splurging on this £50 palette of dreams! Since getting this I’ve gotten rid of all of my other bronzers because none of them were as perfect as this one! I use it everyday both as a bronzer and in my crease if I don’t have the time/energy to do a full eye look. The highlight shade is also gorgeous and gives a beautiful lit form within glow.

Eyelure Brow Contour

I won this pencil in a giveaway and have fallen in love with it! It’s actually replaced my NYX Micro Brow Pencil. I find a lot of brow products can look orangey on pale skin so this was a welcome find! It’s definitely worth picking this up and giving it a try. It also only costs about £5 so it’s very affordable too.

I’ve tried to vary the products mentioned as much as possible in this post and cover products from all price ranges too! Make sure to check out Becca’s post for some more products perfect for pale skin. Do you have any pale girl friendly products you swear by?

I sometimes hate being so pale because buying foundation and concealer is such a mission!! Great post, I really want to try Tarte’s Shape Tape Concealer and their Clay Stick Foundation!!! 😍

    • August 14, 2017 / 2:49 pm

Oh yes i might look into their clay stick foundation! Being pale can be a real pain when it comes to cosmetics!

I’m super pale too and I can’t believe I haven’t tried one thing on this post! Now I’m in a predicament as I want to buy it all haha, especially the NYX palette, that looks awesome! I find the shade ‘Embellishment’ in the NYX Lip Lingeries suits me really well as it’s a dusky purple! And my go to concealer is the Collection Lasting Perfection one in shade ‘Fair’, only around £4 too!

I’ve never used a lip liner, are they really helpful?

    • August 14, 2017 / 2:52 pm

They’re really helpful! Not online do they help get the line of your lips perfect but they also make lipstick last longer and stop it ‘bleeding’ out of you lips!

Great post! I struggle with bronzer, I feel like it’s so easy to look muddy. I like the Tarte Shape tape, and I want to try the Nars one.

  8. August 7, 2017 / 2:32 pm

I’m so pale and I’ve always wondered if there is a bronzer/concealer actually pale enough without being too yellow toned! This is SO helpful – THANK YOU💚

    • August 14, 2017 / 2:53 pm

I’m glad it was helpful! Bronzer and concealer are definitely two of the hardest products to find when you’re so pale!

I’m totally bookmarking this post for when my sister is feeling well enough to care about makeup again. She’s definitely got that Snow White coloring, and it’s shockingly hard to pick out makeup for her skin tone!

    Also, I <3 NYX!

I’ve found this post at perfect timing because I got my graduation photo proofs and I am the palest in my family (ridiculously pale) and didn’t notice until then. I’ve heard a lot about the Nars concealer and concealers are probably one of my favourite products at the moment so I’d like to try it. Love the photography.

This post was great! As a pale girl myself, I find it very hard to find pale foundations / concealers that match my undertones as most of them are rose pink shades and not every pale person is the same! ❤️ super helpful x

  22. August 8, 2017 / 2:40 pm

Love the look of all these products. Your photos all look so good in this post. I am so pale so I know the struggles of finding make up to suit me, when it’s time to purchase products again I will be coming back to this post for inspiration.

  23. August 8, 2017 / 4:14 pm

I’ve been eyeing the Nyx Strobe of Genius palette for a while but afraid the colors would look funny on my skin. Now that I hear its pale girl approved I’m probably going to go out and buy it.

    • August 14, 2017 / 2:59 pm

It’s such an amazing palette! The colours definitely compliment pale skin perfectly!

All fabulous products. I only seem to suffer from paleness during the winter months when I’m not getting enough sun, but during that time, it’s impossible to find products to match my skin enough to give me a natural look. My friends who have a porcelain complexion have it even worse. It’s nice to see that some brands recognize the cooler skin tones.

  26. August 8, 2017 / 7:22 pm

Such a great post! During the winter months, my skin goes pale and I struggle to find foundation and concealer that matches my skin, so I can definitely relate to this post! I’ve always wanted to try the Shape Tape concealer too, but I was always cautious of ordering the incorrect shade online, so I might give Fair a go!

Love this! I’m also really pale so this is so handy for me!! Will have to add all these things to my wishlist xx

  29. August 8, 2017 / 9:15 pm

This is definitely a post for me. I am SO pale and I hate it. Most girls can totally rock the pale skin but on me, I just despise it. I always have. I spent most of my teens and early 20’s using fake tan. I would use it again now all the time but it just takes so much bloody effort! Can’t win either way xxx
