I’ve been really struggling with breakouts recently, it’s been really getting me down and quite honestly I have been willing to try anything to clear them up! I was kindly sent some products from the new T-Zone skincare range to see if they’d be any help. T-Zone are a very affordable brand who use natural ingredients like charcoal, bamboo, witch hazel, tea tree and grapefruit to fight breakouts. I’ve been using 3 products from their Charcoal & Bamboo range for around a month to give them a fair shot..
Charcoal & Bamboo Self Heating Mask*
I was really intrigued when I saw these masks were self heating. In my mind a mask that heats up will open your pores and be able to cleanse out all the excess oil and dirt every more than a normal mask so I was very much looking forward to trying this. My mum, sister and I decided to use these for a pamper night the other week and we really enjoyed using them. The mask is dark grey and has a very thick consistency which I was taken a back by, you get a very generous amount in each sachet though. You apply this to a dry face with dry hands then when it’s full spread out over your face, apply water and massage for around a minute. This activates the self heating property. You then leave the mask for another minute or two before washing it off. My face felt so soft and clean after using this, it was such a great treat, I can’t wait to use more of these. These cost £4.99 for a pack of 4 masks and you could probably get two uses out of each sachet. I think these are great when you’re having a real problem skin day or just looking to give your skin a really deep clean.
Charcoal & Bamboo No Shine Papers*
I don’t tend to get oily due to my Sahara desert like skin so my sister’s been trying these out for me. You get 50 sheets for only £2.99 so they’re excellent value, they’re also really compact so great for popping in to your handbag or pocket. You dab the paper around your T-Zone and any other oily areas and the papers which are enriched with charcoal and bamboo soak up all the extra oil without ruining your makeup! My sister’s been so impressed with them and she thinks they make her makeup look flawless for much longer.
Charcoal & Bamboo Deep Cleansing Face Scrub*
I’m not normally a fan of face scrubs as they’re harsh and tend not to agree with my sensitive skin so I was very apprehensive about trying this. Unbelievably though it’s turned out to be my favourite product from the range! I absolutely adore how this smells! It’s so lovely and fresh. As you can see from the photo this scrub is grey in colour with little black specks. The black bits are actually little bits of charcoal so this scrub is free from those dreaded micro beads! It’s surprisingly gentle but at the same time throughly cleans your skin. I’ve been using this twice a week for the past few weeks and it hasn’t irritated my sensitive skin at all. It makes my face so soft and it looks really clean afterwards. I think I’ve found my new favourite face scrub! This costs only £2.99 and is well worth getting!
