I’d be lying if I didn’t say how excited I am about this post. The lovely girls over at Urban Decay kindly sent me some goodies to review. I’ve been a big fan of Urban Decay for a long time. Their products are cruelty free and amazing quality! If you read my high end beauty haul you’ll know I recently got one of the Urban Decay Afterglow blushes in the shade Video and I’m obsessed with it!
All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray- travel size*
I’ve seen this spray hyped up so much in the blogging community. Although I’m a huge facial spray fan, I’ve never used a setting spray before. I was definitely expected good things from this due to all that hype. I love that Urban Decay make a travel size version of this for popping in your handbag. The bottle also has two lids so there’s no need to worry about it leaking! You shake this and apply it after you’ve done your makeup in an X shape and then a T shape. There’s a scent from the spray but it disappears as soon as you apply it. My makeup still looked flawless after 8 hours of wear and I was outside in wind, rain and sunshine so I’ve really put it to the test, I will 100% be getting the full size!
Quick Fix Prep Priming Spray*
If you’ve read my everyday makeup bag post you’ll know I don’t actually use a primer. I opt for Strobe Cream as it gives my dry skin much needed hydration. That’s why I love the concept of this as it’s a spray (and I’m sure you all know by now I love my facial sprays!) You apply this after cleansing but before your moisturiser. It smells like coconut and feels so cooling when applied to the face. It settles into skin quickly and left my face looking and feeling softer and smoother. My makeup definitely lasted longer on the days I’ve used this, I also think it prevented makeup from clogging up my pores!
Vice Cream Lipstick – Cruz*
Although this is a rather out there colour for me I love the formula of this lipstick. It’s pigmented, easy to apply and very comfortable to wear. I really want to try some more natural every day shades. Do you have any shades of this lipstick formula you love?
Vice Metallized Lipstick – Cruel & Gubby*
I love the look of these shades but will admit I was apprehensive. I’m not a crazy lip colour sort of girl and couldn’t see how I was going to wear a metallized lip for everyday. I was pleasantly surprised though and I really love these! The metallized look is subtle. Gubby is a peach toned nude with a silver effect and is a perfect everyday colour. It has a more sheer finish which I really like. The formula is comfortable to wear, not drying and lasts for around 4 hours. Cruel is a cool toned red and with a gold metallic reflect. Although this isn’t as natural as Gubby it’s buildable so could be worn for everyday if you like a more bold lip. I think Cruel is going to be my go to Christmas lipstick this year, the gold reflect with the red looks very festive in my opinion!
The swatches below as always are unedited and in natural light to show you the shades as realistically as possible.
Naked Ultimate Basics Palette*
Urban Decay also kindly sent me the Naked Ultimate Basics palette. I’m still playing about with it and it’s such a gorgeous palette though that I feel it deserves a blog post all to it’s self so a full review will be up in the next week or two. It will ofcourse include swatches!
