August Favourites 2017

I cannot believe summer is officially over and it’s time for August Favourites already! I don’t think I’m quite ready to let go. I refuse to accept it’s Autumn until the end of September! (Though I can definitely tell the weather is already changing) I’ve used SOO many new makeup products this month, picking five was next to impossible but I have narrowed it down (almost).

AHB Strobe and Highlight Palette*

August favourites 2017 Urban Decay all Nighter setting spray prep and Priming spray Senssē facial cleanser ahb highlight and Strobe kit Tarte Shape Tape afterglow blush

This palette is absolutely incredible, I couldn’t not mention it. I have a full review of the AHB Strobe & Highlight palette with swatches if you’d like to see them (and let me tell you they’re worth checking out) The powders have literally zero fall out! The highlight shades are so pigmented and the blush shades compliment pale skin perfectly. Honestly this has been a go to palette this summer, it deserves so much hype in my opinion and it’s cruelty free too!

Tarte Shape Tape – Fair

Who doesn’t love this! There has been so much hype about Tarte’s Shape Tape but its well deserved in my opinion! I have a full review of Shape Tape with swatches coming on Thursday but honestly if you can get your hands on this concealer whether it’s from Tarte’s website or QVC just do it! You won’t be disappointed. It’s full coverage without being cakey or heavy, I can’t believe I didn’t get this sooner!

Urban Decay After Glow blush – Video

August favourites 2017 Urban Decay all Nighter setting spray prep and Priming spray Senssē facial cleanser ahb highlight and Strobe kit Tarte Shape Tape afterglow blush

My favourite everyday blush! I lusted after this for so long and have not been disappointed. It’s nude toned, pigmented and blendable. It’s subtle which is why I love it for everyday and because it’s nude toned it works very well with pale skin and doesn’t make you look like a clown (something I find a lot of blushes do to pale skin!)  This is buildable though so if you like a more pronounced blush, don’t be put off. I really want to try a few more shades from the afterglow range as I love the formula!

Senssē Silicone Cleansing Device*

August favourites 2017 Urban Decay all Nighter setting spray prep and Priming spray Senssē facial cleanser ahb highlight and Strobe kit Tarte Shape Tape afterglow blush

I’d been dying to try a silicone facial cleansing device for years and honestly my experience has not disappointed! It’s so gentle but gives the deepest clean and makes my face feel insanely smooth. If you weren’t convinced by my full review of the Senssē Cleansing Device then let me try again, treat yourself to this device! It will completly change your skincare for the better, I couldn’t be without mine anymore!

Urban Decay Facial Sprays*

I’ve cheated with this one as I couldn’t pick which one I liked most. If you read my Urban Decay Haul you’ll know I was sent these two sprays back at the beginning of August and I’ve been obsessed with them both since! The Quick Fix Prep and Priming spray is hydrating, stops makeup sinking into my pores and smells like coconuts! The All Nighter Setting spray keeps my makeup looking flawless all day. I couldn’t be without either of these now!

I hope you enjoyed my favourites this month. Have you tried any of these before? What have you been loving this month?

  18. September 4, 2017 / 5:34 pm

OMGGGG that ABH palette! I’m practically drooling! New York dusk looks stunning. Would definitely love to see a full review with swatches! I’ve got tanned skin but hoping some of the shades would still work on me! x

  19. September 4, 2017 / 5:37 pm

Can’t wait for your full shape tape review, my sister is in the US at the minute and I’ve asked her to pick one up for me as the lighter shades always seem to be sold out on QVC whenever I look! Worried that she’ll end up getting the wrong shade as she’s been away for months and is much more tan than me now but fingers crossed it’ll work out!

  20. September 4, 2017 / 5:39 pm

Shape Tape is the best thing ever. It can be a concealer and a foundation, depending on how you apply it. Perfect! I used to use All Nighter all of the time when I lived in a more tropical climate, and it worked so well.

I love Favourites posts – I’m always looking for more products to try. The colours in the AHB Strobe and Highlight Palette are gorgeous, I love the sound of the blush and I will definitely look into that cleansing device as I’m terrible at remembering to cleanse. (Awful I know). Great post and lovely pictures!
