My makeup bag contents has seriously changed since my last Everyday Makeup Bag post so I thought I’d do an update. Now the autumnal weather has set it I’m trying to protect my skin from the elements as much as possible and keep it super hydrated. From writing this out I was shocked at how many products I use in one simple everyday autumn makeup look!
Urban Decay Quick Fix Prep Priming Spray*
I was sent this facial spray by Urban Decay back in July and it has been a firm favourite since. I apply this after cleansing and toning but before moisturiser. It gives your skin an instant boost of hydration but also prevents makeup sinking into your pores which I feel has helped prevent breakouts.
Mac Strobe Cream
My trusty Mac strobe cream has been apart of my everyday makeup routine for years and I’ve never found a product I love quite as much. I apply this before applying my foundation. It hydrates my skin and gives it a gorgeous glow.
The Ordinary Serum Foundaion – 1.0P Very Fair
If you read my review of The Ordinary’s foundations you’ll know I fell in love with the serum foundation. It’s so lightweight, perfect for this time of year. It’s so affordable too so you don’t need to feel bad if you use it each day!
Tarte Shape Tape – Fair
I have a full review of Tarte’s Shape Tape too. This concealer has been a game changer, I can’t believe I put off getting it for so long! Tarte also have 25% off Shape tape currently with the code ‘SHAPETAPE’ so now is definitely the time to stock up or try it out for the first time! I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
Mac Prep + Prime Powder
This powder has been a firm favourite for a while. It doesn’t have any flashback, important for all the cute autumn photos and doesn’t settle into any dry patches. For the past week or so though I’ve been trying out the Nude by Nature powder I got in my Feel Unique Best of Beauty box and it may possibly be replacing this!
Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder – Medium
I like to tone down the bronzer during autumn and winter. It doesn’t look realistic and especially looks bizarre on my ghostly pale skin. If you read my September favourites you’ll know I’ve been using the Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting powder to contour. I actually have this in the shade medium rather than light because medium is much more cool toned. It’s a firm favourite and well worth the insane price tag. It blends like a dream!
Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow
I’ve been using this palette mainly for the highlight powder and mirror rather than the bronzer. I don’t think this palette will ever not be in my makeup bag. The highlight is the most perfect natural highlight shade for everyday!
AHB Strobe & Highlight Kit*
The blush in this palette is the perfect shade for this time of year. Soft pink blushes are very in this season and compliment my pale skin beautifully. Tokyo Blossom has a gorgeous glow it giving your skin a natural luminosity which I think is so important for this time of year when my skin is looking drier than ever!
Eyelure Pencil – Blonde
If you read my July favourites you’ll know I discovered this a while back, it creates a nice natural brow. I use this to fill in my brows and then use my Benefit Gimme Brow to set my brows.
Benefit Gimme Brow – Light/Medium
Autumn in Northern Ireland means lots of rain and wind so as I said above I’ve been using Benefit’s Gimme Brow to set my brows in place. This is a tinted, fibered gel so it tints and thickens your brow hairs as well as keeping them in place all day. I use this on no makeup days too just to keep my brows neat and tidy.
Benefit They’re Real Mascara – Brown
I really didn’t want to like this mascara, I used to use it in black a few years ago and went off it but when my boyfriends mum bought this by accident and gave it to me I thought I’d give it another go and I’ve fallen in love! This mascara creates the longest lashes and I think a brown mascara is perfect for this time of year, it really compliments the bronze eye looks I’ve been going for!
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray
My final everyday must have is setting spray. I couldn’t be without my trusty Urban Decay All Nighter. My travel size spray is almost finished and I’ll definitely be restocking. With all the wind and rain I need to make sure my face is weather proof and this keeps my makeup on all day!
I hope you enjoyed this updated everyday makeup bag. I told you there was a crazy amount of products in one everyday look and I didn’t even mention eyeshadow or lipstick! Have you changed up your essentials now the colder weather’s setting in? What are you autumn must haves?
