This is hands down the Christmas collection of dreams. From the second these beauties arrived on my doorstep I haven’t stopped using them! If it isn’t already, then this collection needs to go straight to the top of your Christmas list. Metallics are the trend this Christmas and Urban Decay have well and truly jumped on the bandwagon with the Heavy Metals Collection.
Heavy Metals palette*
There will be a full post on this palette with swatches as I just have so much to say! But let me tell you any makeup obsessed girl would be over the moon to have this palette in their collection. The shadows are the creamiest and most pigmented I have ever tried in my life. Every single shade is perfect. I love the combination of wearable shades on the right hand side compared to the more out there shades on the left. This palette has shades to suit everyone and will also be perfect for Christmas parties. I recently went to the launch of the Heavy Metals collection at House of Fraser Belfast and the look Stevey Lennox created was absolutely stunning, I can’t wait to give it a go!
Vice Lip palette*
This beautiful palette is a new one for me. I’ve never tried a lipstick palette before, only the usual bullet lipstick so I was really intrigued. I personally love the formula of Urban Decay’s lipsticks, Gubby being one of my favourites. This palette has some of Urban Decay’s favourite shades like Backtalk alongside some brand new shades exclusive to the palette. All of the shades on the bottom row are matte and have a complimentary metallized shade in the top row. Don’t be put off by ‘metallized’ though, you won’t end up with crazy metallic lips. The metallized effect is subtle but beautiful. This palette is the perfect travel companion as you have so many shades all in the one place, the packaging is sturdy too so you won’t risk breaking any of the lipsticks! If you’d like a full review of the palette along with swatches just let me know in the comments!
Heavy Metal Glitter eyeliners*
Now these are perfect for Christmas time (and all year round really, who doesn’t love glitter!?) The Heavy Metal liners have been around for a while but they’ve launched some new shades to go alongside the new Heavy Metal palette. All the glitters are so pigmented and insanely easy to apply. The glitters are suspended in gel which means they glide on beautifully and when they dry down they don’t budge!
*The swatches below as always are unedited to show the shades as best as possible.*
