November favourites already? Doesn’t time fly! This will be my last favourites post of the year (scary!) as I have something a little different planned for the end of December. I seem to have tried out an insane amount of products over the past month so it was pretty difficult narrowing it down to my usual five.
Pai Fragonia & Seabuckthorn Hand Cream
I already mentioned this amazing hand cream in my Stocking Filler Gift Guide but I just had to mention again how in love with the Pai Fragonia & Seabuckthorn hand cream I am. It’s the only thing keeping my hands hydrated without aggravating my eczema. Pai products in general are a god send for sensitive skin. I’d 100% recommend checking this out for yourself or for a gift this winter, you’ll not be disappointed!
Urban Decay Heavy Metals Palette
How could I not include the Urban Decay Heavy Metals Palette? I’ve genuinely never felt eyeshadows creamier and more pigmented. I have a full post on this palette with swatches but I have not stopped using it since it landed on my doorstep. (As you can see from the state of the shadows in my photos!) Like I predicted when I first got this palette, the bronze/gold side has seen more use, in particular ‘Maiden’, the perfect bronzey shimmer for this time of year. I can’t wait to create looks with all the shadows though and play about with the more crazy side. What I love most about this palette is the fact you can wear the shadows on their own. Most shimmer/metallic shadows I’ve tried in the past are lovely but you need a base colour underneath for them to pack the same punch as they do in the pan. Not the Heavy Metals Palette though, it’s so pigmented you can wear it alone if you wish.
Solid Beauty Blender Cleanser
Beauty Blender Cleanser soap was something I hadn’t tried as I’d always used the liquid cleanser. While Beauty Bay’s Black Friday sale was on though I stocked up on two of the solid cleansers as I’d heard such great things and I’m hooked already! I feel like I’m wasting much less product now I’m using a solid soap. Thankfully it still has the same amazing fresh smell as my liquid cleanser. It’s so much easier to use for both my beauty blender and my makeup brushes, it takes way less time and it even comes with its own wee butterfly shaped buffer to help get away every last bit of makeup. If you havent tried this yet, then you need to! It’s a game changer!
Algenist Eye Renewal Balm
I got this eye balm in my Beauty Expert 12 Days of Christmas Advent Calendar (I couldn’t help but start using everything already, I know I’m a bad person!) I suffer from very dry under eyes along with awful dark under eye circles and puffiness. My trusty Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask definitely helps with the puffiness and dark circles but I’d been looking for some sort of cream or balm for a while to really hydrate the area and this one from Algenist is perfect! As it’s a balm it almost melts into the eye area leaving it baby soft. I have since looked up the individual price of this and was shocked to see this little 15ml pot costs £50! This is definitely a splurge! That being said though, a little goes a long way so I do think it’ll last ages.
Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Eye Gel Patches
As I said above and if you read my Cult Products Of The Year post you’ll know I’m a massive fan of PTR’s Cucumber Gel Mask. I’d always wanted to try the eye gel patches though but been unable to find them in the UK. I was stalking Beauty Expert the other week and unbelievably saw they stocked them! I’m not sure when they started stocking them as I’d never noticed before and they went out of stock straight after I ordered so I may have been lucky and got the last tub but I am so overjoyed I did, they’ve been well worth the wait! They’re basically the same as the Cucumber Gel Mask only in patch form so much less messy. Whenever these come back in stock on Beauty Expert I’ll 100% be stockpilling a few tubs!
