I’ve always been a huge fan of NYX. Their makeup is super affordable, amazing quality and cruelty free. What more could you want from a brand?! NYX are now stocked at one of my favourite stores, Debenhams. They kindly sent me a selection of the products they stock to show you, some are old favourites and others that I’d never tried before.
Strobe of Genius*
The Strobe of Genius palette has been a firm favourite of mine for well over a year now. I actually have a full review with swatches if you’d like a nosey. I dropped lots of hints to the boyfriend last year about it and he kindly surprised me with it and I’ve been hooked ever since. The shades compliment pale skin perfectly, the two slightly darker shades I use as shimmer eye shadows and the others obviously as highlight shades so none of the powders go to waste. If you’re looking to try out different highlight shades without breaking the bank then this is the palette for you.
I just love the name of this palette! I hadn’t actually seen these palettes before so I was really excited to see this. It has a great mix of shades and if you have a medium skin tone I’d say you could create a whole look just using this one palette! Although the contour shade is a little warm for my ghostly complexion, it looks beautiful blended into the crease and really makes my blue eyes stand out so it’ll definitely not go to waste!
Ultimate Shadow Palette – Cool Tone*
I love this palette! I’m particularly obsessed with the pinky and raspberry tones. Although I don’t normally tend to go for cool tones this palette has allowed me to break out of my comfort zone and I really like some of the looks I’ve created. I am eyeing up the warm toned version of this palette though, it’s definitely high up on my wish list!
Lip Lingerie – Exotic*
NYX’s Lip Lingerie line was hyped up so much in the blogging world and I now see why! I absolutely adore the shade Exotic, it’s going to be perfect for Autumn in particular. Trying this has really made me want to try some more colour from the Lip Lingerie line.
Butter Gloss – Strawberry Parfait*
Butter Gloss’ as the name suggests are gorgeous non sticky lip glosses! I’m personally not a lip gloss sort of girl, windy Northern Irish weather, long hair and lip gloss never get on well. That being said I love how pigmented this gloss is and it’s nice to have one in my collection should the occasion arrive (on a non windy day!)
Liquid Suede – Downtown Beauty*
Although this isn’t a shade I would normally pick up I like how long wearing and comfortable the formula is so I’ll definitely be looking into picking up a few more shades. Have you used the liquid suede lipsticks before and have any shade recommendations?
Soft Matte Lip Cream – Budapest*
Soft Matte Lip Creams are my favourite lip product from NYX. Way back last February I featured my favourite shade Prague in my Valentine’s makeup post and it’s stayed a firm favourite. Budapest is a gorgeous shade for a night out and I know it’ll be a go to in Autumn too. The Soft Matte Lip Creams are so pigmented, creamy and comfortable to wear, I’ve never felt a formula quite like them!
Pore Filler Primer*
This is the first base product I’ve tried from NYX and I was pleasantly surprised. I’m very picky when it comes to primers but the pore filler primer lives up to its claims and gives your skin a baby soft and smooth finish. I struggle most with pores around my nose and I definitely think it helped prevent my makeup sinking into the pores.
