There’s so many baby gadgets and gizmos on the market these days to help make parenting a little easier, honestly it’s quite overwhelming how many there are! I’ve been doing through research over the past few months trying to decide what I do and don’t need and just wanted to share a few of the products I’ll be trying out once Squish arrives.
Tommee Tippee – Health Care Kit
The Tommee Tippee Health Care Kit was something I stumbled across on Mamas & Papas website when I was having a little nosey and I thought it was a great idea! This handy little kit houses all your baby grooming essentials in the one place, complete with a thermometer, nasal aspirator (for all the baby boogies), hair grooming items and nail care items. I think this will be so useful and it was a bargain price compared to buying all the items individually!
The Gro Company – GroEgg2
I’ve been dying to get a Gro Egg even before finding out we were expecting Squish I’ve always thought they were cool! Gro eggs for those that haven’t heard of them are basically a room thermometer and night light in one. The egg glows different colours depending on the room temperature. You ideally want your egg to be glowing orange at all times (between 16-20 degrees) which is the optimal room temperature for little ones. If your egg goes blue or red then you need to turn your heat up or down or put or remove some layers from your baby. I love how stylish the egg looks and I’m sure this is going to be a great buy.
Little Unicorn – Muslin Quilt
I have been obsessed with Little Unicorn blankets since coming across their Instagram page. They have some of the cutest designs! Unfortunately as they’re an American brand it was going to be rather expensive to get one of their muslin quilts shipped over. I ummed and ahhed and then unbelievably found one in TK Maxx for only £6!!! I couldn’t believe my luck! Although the print is rather girly I couldn’t leave it behind for such a bargain price. So apologise in advance if I have a boy, but he’s just going to have to put up with a flowery blanket for a while!
Aden + Anais – Muslins & Muslin Buddy
Muslins are obviously an essential when it comes to little ones. They have so many uses and I did a lot of research to help me decide which were worth getting. Aden + Anais came out top no matter what site I checked and I’ve picked up quite a few pieces since. They kindly sent me some large muslin swaddle blankets*, a lightweight muslin sleeping bag* and an adorable new mussy comforter* in their Twinkle Twinkle print. I’ve then picked up a few packs of muslin washcloths and muslin squares and swaddles in a few different patterns. I’m sure I’ll be buy lots more from Aden + Anais once Squish is here, they have so many gorgeous designs I can’t wait to get my hands on some gender specific prints!
I hope you enjoyed seeing some of the little baby accessories I’ve picked up for Squish! I can’t believe how real it’s getting, I’ve really not long at all to go now!
