I’m still in my major nesting phase and I’m loving that maternity leave is giving me the time to get the house organised. We moved into our house last October and I’m never done buying different bits and bobs to furnish and accessories our house. Of course a house wouldn’t be a home without some beautiful finishing touches. Desenio have so many beautiful prints, posters and frames to choose from and I’ve now got a little collection around my home.
Living room
I chose a gorgeous set of three beach prints with black frames for our living room. Although these prints weren’t sold as a set I think the beach stairs, path on the beach and grass by the sea really complement each other. I imagine Squish and I are going to spend a lot of time in the living room cuddled up on the sofa together so I wanted something nice and neutral. The prints are super calming and match beautifully with our M&S sofa. This sofa is my pride and joy, it’s the comfiest thing ever and although it wasn’t the colour I’d originally planned to go for (I normally go for grey everything!) I’ve really fallen in love with it.
Bedroom
Again like the living room I wanted something calming for our bedroom. Bedrooms are areas to relax and catch up on sleep (or as much as is possible with a newborn!) so I thought this gorgeous little hut by the sea was perfect for the top of our bedroom dresser. I just picked this little cabinet up from Wayfair and I’m super impressed with it. The ordering process was so simple, it was free delivery and even arrived a day early which to Northern Ireland is practically unheard of! I picked a white frame this time to keep the print colours nice and muted and matching the rest of our white bedroom furniture.
Beauty Room
Of course I couldn’t help but add some gorgeous prints to my precious beauty room. It won’t be a beauty room for much longer as it’ll have to be turned into a nursery for Squish so I’m going to enjoy it for the last few months!
As a huge Gossip Girl fan I’ve been dying to get a Prada Poster from the second I saw Lily’s in her gorgeous pent house apartment. As soon as I saw it on the Desenio website I knew I had to have it. Although mine isn’t quite as big I’m still head over heels for it. I’ve popped it above my dressing table so every time I sit and do my hair and makeup in the morning I get lost in thoughts of the Upper East Side.
I just love adding little finishing touches to my home and cannot wait to get some more prints. Desenio have kindly given me a discount code to share with you so you can treat yourself to some lovely prints. The code “palegirlrambling” gives 25% off posters* between July 10th and 12th.
