Urban Veda Skincare Favourites

It’s been a while since I’ve done a skincare post and I’ve missed it! If you’ve been reading PaleGirlRambling for a while you’ll already have heard of Urban Veda, a natural, vegan and cruelty free skincare brand I’ve been using for the past few years. Their products have remained a firm favourite and something I reach for time and time again.

Urban Veda Skincare Fragrance Direct

Urban Veda skincare is built on the priciples of Ayurveda, a traditional holistic healing system that states there are three main body types, known as doshas, these are Vata, Pitta and Kapha. These doshas express everything about us from our skin type and physical characteristics, to our health and personality traits. Urban Veda have a questionnaire online to help you decide your ‘dosha’ and this in turn tells you the range that is most suited to you. (Pretty cool huh?) There’s a range for oil prone skin, mature skin, sensitive skin and dry or dehydrated skin. Each range has a body wash, scrub and lotion and a face exfoliator, cleanser, toner, day cream and night cream. The soothing sandalwood + botanics range is most suited to my sensitive skin type.

The soothing toner does just what it says on the bottle, I love using this at the end of the day to soothe my face after cleansing. It removes any left over makeup and gives my skin a boost of hydration.

Both the day cream and night cream contain calming sandalwood, anti-inflammatory rosemary, harmonising ylang ylang, irritation-relieving peppermint, clarifying clary sage, regenerating palmarosa and fight fatigue and dehydration.

As soon as you apply them to your face you can feel an instantly cooling and soothing effect. The creams sink into skin really quickly and leave it soft and smooth. They’re lightweight but still provide deep hydration. They also don’t cause any spots or breakouts something a lot of moisturisers do to my sensitive skin. Both these moistures are a staple in my skincare routine and I love that they’re natural so I’m not putting any bad chemicals on my already sensitive skin.

If you haven’t tried out anything from Urban Veda yet I’d highly recommend giving the brand a go, you won’t be disappointed! You can stock up on all the different Urban Veda ranges at Fragrance Direct. You can currently get 10% off if you spend over £20 using the code FLASHTEN and get an Urban Veda Reviving Facial Ritual Travel Set worth RRP £11.99 when you buy any 2 Urban Veda products.

Is using a natural, cruelty free skincare range something you would like to do? Have you tried Urban Veda products before?
