I’ve been meaning to write this post for the longest time. Ever since I had Theodore it’s been bugging me, why is it so hard to find little boys clothes that aren’t 100 shades of blue with dinosaurs or jungle animals on?? When you go into most shops that sell baby and kids clothes the girls section is normally 3 times bigger and has numerous different ranges depending on the style you’d like your little girl to wear, boys clothes are so much more limited and as a major shopaholic it really disappoints me! I thought I’d put together a post on my favourite places to shop for Theodore to help any mamas out there who are struggling too!
Zara will always be my number one recommendation for baby clothes whether you have a boy or a girl. The Zara ‘mini’ section isn’t even split into boys and girls and most items are gender neutral which I love! There’s so many taupe, cream and grey tones along with cute prints and designs. Even when you move to the younger boys section, a large majority of the clothes could be worn by either gender. There’s so many cute tees, leggings and dungarees, I’m forever adding things to my basket. Here’s some of my current picks for Theodore’s autumn wardrobe.
Next is another of my favourite shops for stocking Theodore’s wardrobe. Particularly for baby grows. They’re excellent quality and I’ve found they really stand up to the 100 washes they seemed to get when he was little. They also seem very true to size, a lot of baby grows from supermarkets I’ve found are very large fitting in the arms and legs which is a pain once your little starts crawling. The next baby grows seem to reality suit Theodore’s petite build. I also really like Next leggings, although they aren’t as thick as some of his Zara ones they still last very well and come in lots of different prints.
Marks & Spencer is worth checking out, although not somewhere I shop as frequently, we still have a few cardigans, leggings and tees. Some seasons I see a lot of nice things, others, not so much but still worth having a nosey.
Baby Mori is another favourite for particularly baby grows. The material of Baby Mori clothes are so soft. Theodore’s matching Mini Power and my Mama Power jumper are also from Baby Mori.
The final two shops I tend to buy at are JoJo Maman Bebe and Joules. Although more gender specific both still have so many adorable outfits. It’s best to wait for the Joules sale as you can stock up on pieces for the next size at nearly half the price!
