A Valentine’s Day Makeup Look

I’ve never created a makeup look blog post before so this is a first for me! I thought I’d create a quick and easy look for Valentine’s Day with some of my current favourite makeup picks.

A Valentine’s Day Makeup Look

Base

If you’re headed out on a Valentine’s date night then you’re going to want a base that’s going to last throughout your evening without needed to worry about popping to the bathroom to touch up. I firstly used Charlotte Tilbury’s Brightening Youth Glow to prime my face and then applied Charlotte Tilbury’s Airbrush Flawless Foundation mixed with Charlotte Tilbury’s Holywood Flawless Filter. (If you haven’t heard me rave about the Holywood Flawless Filter before then check out my full review, it’s a game changer!) This combination will leave you with a beautiful full coverage but glowy base. I added a little bit of Nars Soft Matte Concealer around my nose and on some blemishes and finished with a dusting of Nude By Nature’s Powder.

I then used Charlotte Tilbury’s Instant Look In A Palette in Stoned Rose. This palette has the most perfect shades for Valentine’s Day. The palette contains a beautiful subtle bronze shade, two blush shade and a highlighting powder along with 3 different rose toned eyeshadows. The powders all blend like a dream and make this look super simple for even a makeup novice.
I finished my eyes off with a little dab of Charlotte Tilbury’s Eyes to Mesmerise in the shade Jean in the middle of my life to give a little sparkle and my fav mascara, Lancôme’s Monsieur Big.

For eyebrows I used my trusty Glossier Boy Brown in the shade Blonde, it tints your brows slightly and keeps them in place.
Finally rather than a bright red lip which you’d normally expect for a Valentine’s look, I opted for Charlotte Tilbury’s Bitch Perfect, a peachy pink nude. If you’d like a little Valentine’s kiss then a more subtle lip shade is definitely the way to go!
