I’ve been meaning to get this post up for ages! If you read my Valentine’s Gift Guide you’ll know I recommended Look Fantastic’s Beauty Box subscription service as a great gift idea, I thought I’d do a little unboxing of January’s box to show you just what a great beauty box it is! January’s box contains seven products ranging from body care, skincare and makeup along with some hair care treats.
Glov Reuseable Makeup Pads
The first thing I picked out of January’s box was a pack of three reusable makeup pads from Glov. I already use cloth nappies with Theodore so I’ve been meaning to make the change to reusable makeup pads for a while. I was so impressed to see the packaging is biodegradable. The makeup pads are super soft and easy to use, I actually prefer them to disposables because they’re softer, I’ll definitely be picking more up.
Australian Bodycare Spot Stick
The next item in the box is a roll on spot treatment stick from Australian Bodycare containing tea tree oil to heal, cleanse and protect the skin. I’ve always used my tea tree face mask from the body shop to try and heal blemishes more quickly so I’m excited to give this a try.
Sebastian Professional Dark Oil Shampoo and Conditioner
I love getting mini shampoos and conditioners in subscription boxes as they’re great to take away when travelling. I haven’t tried these yet as I’m saving them for my next trip away but both contain Argan oil and Jojoba oil which clean your hair while adding softness and shine so I’m looking forward to giving them a go.
Mio Skincare Skin Tight Body Serum
Way back when I was pregnant with Theodore I used some skincare products from Mama Mio on my bump and absolutely loved them so I was pleased to see something from Mio (the non pregnancy range) in this box. Mio’s Skin Tight Serum sounds perfect for my post baby body! The serum helps to tighten tired saggy skin so I’ll be using this everyday on my mum tum!
Lord and Berry Lip Liner – Nude
This Lord and Berry Lip Liner is the only makeup product in January’s Edit, I personally haven’t tried anything from Lord and Berry before but I like the shade of this for everyday and think it applies nice and smoothly.
ECooking Moisturising Serum
The final product is a skincare treat. ECooking’s Moisturising Serum is allergy certified, fragrance free and vegan, it retails at £43 for 20ml so it’s a real bargain being included! I love trying out new serums, ECooking’s is packed with Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate dry skin, I’ve been using a small pump every morning and I’m loving how soft and hydrated my skin is feeling.
I’m really impressed with Look Fantastic’s January Edit and I’m so pleased to have been introduced to Glov’s reusable makeup pads. I’m looking forward to seeing what future months contain.
