#ad You may have seen my post the other week all a #ad You may have seen my post the other week all about my new fav spot treatment from @botanicallabuk. It’s become a permanent part of my skincare routine so I thought I’d try out some more from Botanical Lab’s range. I’ve been trying out their Turmeric Balancing Face Wash and Hemp and Matcha Tea Clarifying Face Mask. The Turmeric Face Wash in particular works beautifully with the serum. It contains turmeric extract and salicylic acid to help minimise breakouts whilst gently cleansing your face. I love how soft and clean my face feels after my night time skincare and it’s making a huge difference to my hormonal breakouts plus at only £4.99 it’s a bargain cleanser. 🙊

Ultimate Base Products for Fair Skin

Having fair skin comes with many issues when it comes to finding makeup base products. Even the fairest of shades in most brands look positively orange on me so I don’t tend to stray far from my tried and tested brands. I wanted to share my favourites and would love to hear what your favourite pale girl base products are too.

Foundation

My most reached for brand in general is Charlotte Tilbury, I’m yet to find a product I don’t like from the brand. I’m particularly obsessed with their base products though. Both the Magic Foundation and newer Hollywood Airbrush Flawless foundations are incredible matches for my ghostly pale skin. I have a full review of the Hollywood Airbrush Flawless Foundation already on PaleGirlRambling if you’d like to know more but in overview it’s a very full coverage matte foundation with an incredible 44 shade range! (I like to sheer it out by combining the Hollywood Flawless Filter from Charlotte Tilbury) The Magic Foundation is a lighter weight skin like foundation perfect for warmer weather.

BB Cream

I have found finding a lighter bb cream a particular challenge over the years. BB creams aren’t as popular so don’t tend to come in as many shades as foundation making it even more difficult to find a match, frustrating when you want something lighter for the summer months. About two years ago now I discovered Lily Lolo. I use both the BB Cream and Mineral Powder Foundation on days when I want a little coverage but don’t want to go all out with a full face of makeup.

Concealer

Nars and Tarte are my go to concealer brands. Nars Radiant Creamy concealer and Soft Matte concealer in Chantilly are both a perfect match. Radiant Creamy is a great all rounder concealer, it can be used under the eyes or on blemishes. I love to use the Soft Matte as a spot concealer, it’s more heavy duty than Radiant Creamy so really hides everything.

Tarte Shape Tape has been a Holy Grail from the moment I tried it. I have a full review of Shape Tape for more info and swatches but it is truly incredible, has an amazing shade range and fabulous coverage as well as being vegan and cruelty free. If you haven’t tried it yet then I highly recommend you do!

If you have pale skin I’d love to know what your favourite base products are. Do you find it difficult like me to get a perfect match to your skin tone?
