Your Bedroom Can Be Clutter-Free

A clutter-free bedroom doesn’t just create a great aesthetic, it can improve your sleep quality too. When your bedroom is a tranquil haven, you’ll find it easier to get to sleep at night and feel more rested and re-energised when you awaken. To get a head-start on creating a clutter-free bedroom, take a look at these top tips now:

Install more storage

If you don’t have enough storage space, any room will inevitably get cluttered. From storage baskets and underfloor storage to a wardrobe collection and ottoman bed, there are numerous ways to incorporate more storage options into your room. With the right mix of storage solutions, you can ensure that everything can be kept in its rightful place and enjoy clutter-free surroundings.

Create a separate workspace

With more people working from home, demand for home office space has soared. If you don’t have a spare room you can convert into an office, you may have resorted to using your bedroom as a workplace. If work paraphernalia is cluttering up your bedroom, it’s time to make some changes. Turn a corner of your living area into a workspace or commander your kitchen table during working hours. By doing so, you can restore calm and tranquillity to your bedroom, as well as decluttering the space.

Discard unworn clothes

If your wardrobe is full of clothing you rarely wear, it might be time to take a trip to the charity shop or donate it to people in need. Most people have numerous items they no longer wear, so don’t let them gather dust in your wardrobe for months or years on end. If an item no longer fits or it doesn’t suit your style, commit to parting with it and enjoy the extra space you’ve created.

Use a laundry basket

Many people place a laundry basket int their bathroom to prevent clutter from building up in their bedroom. In reality, this simply means that clothes get left strewn around the bedroom instead of being placed in the hamper. Choose a laundry basket or hamper that complements your décor and install it in an inconspicuous place in your bedroom. This will enable you to keep the room clutter-free and give you easy access to temporary storage.

Organise drawers and cupboards

If your idea of decluttering is simply cramming things in drawers or throwing things into cupboards, think again. Use trays, boxes and drawer dividers to keep these areas clutter-free too. Although most people don’t relish organising cupboards and drawers, it’s a great opportunity to see what you’re keeping and decide whether or not you really need it.

Keeping Your Room Clutter-Free

Creating a clutter-free bedroom isn’t a one-off task. Once your clutter has been removed, you’ll need to keep on top of it in order to prevent it from building up again. Fortunately, this doesn’t need to take long. By spending five or ten minutes decluttering your room every day, you can enjoy a bedroom that’s always calm, peaceful and free from clutter.
