Like most mama’s I’ve spent a lot of my free time curating a Pinterest board full of toddler and children bedroom inspo in a hope that one day I’ll miraculously find the time to makeover Theodore’s room. It doesn’t hurt to dream though so I thought I’d create this post full of inspo and ideas in case one day I win the lottery!

I’m obsessed with Montessori toddler and child floor beds and they’re top of my toddler bedroom wishlist. Particularly the adorable house and teepee style beds like the one in the picture above. I wish they made them in adult sizes, I’d definitely get a house bed for myself! They’re practical as well as cute as there’s no worry about your little one falling out of bed.

I adore a bedroom with a canopy, it makes bedtime seem that much more exciting. I always wanted a canopy when I was a child. To be honest I’m just completely obsessed with the styling and colour schemes in both these rooms from Pretty In Print Art. The under the sea theme would definitely be a winner with Theodore, he’d love all of the giant sea themed cuddly animals!

I’d love engineered wood flooring in Theodore’s bedroom as it’s easily cleaned for all the many messes little ones make but also looks aesthetically pleasing. It’s also allergy friendly. Wooden floors can also be accessorised with pretty rugs. I‘m a little stuck with what rug style would suit Theodore’s room. I love Totter & Tumble rugs, we already have one downstairs in the living room where Theodore does most of his playing. They’re thick and soft and wipe clean, everything a mum needs in a rug! I think for a bedroom though I’m leaning towards something more fluffy and cosy that he can bury his wee toes in. What do you think, practical or cosy?

A bedroom wouldn’t be complete without accessories. I’ve been eyeing up the giant animals from H&M for the longest time, every toddler needs a giant giraffe in their room, right? I also love to accessorise with prints and trinkets like in the images above.
