If you’ve been a reader of PaleGirlRambling before you’ll already know how madly in love with Charlotte Tilbury products I am. I’m yet to find a product I don’t like and most of my make up bag essentials are from CT. I thought it would be helpful to put together a guide on the best Charlotte Tilbury products for those with fair skin like me. It’s more difficult than ever as a pale girl to try and shade match products due to the pandemic, that being said the CT website are offering free 1-1 consultations online to try and help you as best as they can.
Base
Charlotte’s Wonderglow is a cult product but as a ghostly pale gal I’ve never been fond of the yellow toned glow it added to my skin. I was absolutely overjoyed when they released the Brightening Youth Glow. It minimises redness, adds a sparkle and glow to your skin while also leaving your face hydrated. It’s a perfect primer and something I use every time I do my make up.
I’d never tried anything like Hollywood Flawless Filter before and I was anxious when I first received it as it looks pretty dark in the bottle, oh boy was I wrong. This is one of my all time favourite products from CT, I mix this in with my foundation and it gives a beautiful lit from with in glow. I have a full review of Charlotte’s Hollywood Flawless filter if you’d like to know more but I’d highly recommend treating yourself to a bottle, it will completely change your make up for the better!
Charlotte Tilbury have a wonderful foundation shade range, both the Magic Foundation and Airbrush Flawless Finish in shade 1 work beautifully with my pale complexion. The Magic foundation is great for everyday wear while Airbrush flawless finish (full review) is a much more full coverage foundation for bad skin days and days you’d like a little boost of confidence.
Face
The Filmstar Bronze and Glow is one of Charlotte’s cult product and rightfully so. If you try just one product from Charlotte Tilbury then this is the product I recommend you go for. Bronzer is an absolute pain as a pale girl, most are too dark and too orange toned but the CT bronzer is just perfect. It’s the perfect muted toned brown bronze that adds a little colour to your skin without going ott. The highlight shade is a subtle yet buildable champagne powder that again adds a beautiful glow.
Charlotte Tilbury currently have 2 ‘Instant look in a palette’ I own Stoned Rose and love the shade range for those with pale skin for a perfect every day makeup. It contains the bronze and highlight shade from the Bronze & Glow palette I mentioned above, along with 2 blush shades and 3 eyeshadows.
Eyes
One of my fav Charlotte Tilbury products are their little pots of magic ‘Eyes to Mesmerise’. They’re pots of cream eyeshadow that dry down and leave a beautiful subtle yet sparkly eye look that can be done in seconds and lasts all day. You can apply with your finger tip or a brush, they’re super easy to use. My all time favourite shade is Champagne (formally ‘Jean’) I use it on its own or combined with other shadows and it completely lifts my eye look.
Charlotte’s eyeshadow quads are another firm favourite. I have a quad from the Pillow Talk Collection and I adore the pink toned shadows. There’s such a range of these little quads that there’s one to suit almost anyone.
Lips
Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks are incredible, they come with a luxury price point but are well worth the investment in my opinion. There are 2 formula types to choose from, Matte Revolution and K.I.S.S.I.N.G. As well as two Hot Lips celebrity inspired ranges.
I currently own Pillow Talk and Very Victoria from the Matte Revolution range, JK Magic from the Hot Lips 2 range and Bitch Perfect from the K.I.S.S.I.N.G. range with has a satin finish. All of those shades a with in the nudey pink range. Pillow Talk is a your lips but better shade, Very Victoria a little darker while JK Magic and Bitch Perfect are more peachy nude. They’re all perfect everyday lip stick shades for fair skin.
