Switzerland: Discover its fairytale beauty

Imagining the country of Switzerland, the first things that come to mind are the luxury resorts, the dozens of clocks and the abundant chocolate. However, when you get there, you can not fail to be fascinated by the cultural attractions and its fairytale beauty! A country with turquoise lakes, valleys and picturesque villages. Historic cities such as Zurich, Geneva and Lausanne offer great museums, historic buildings, and renowned music festivals. Most Swiss speak German, although, in some areas, south and southeast, they use French, Italian and Romance throughout.

Meet Zurich

On the one hand, the magnificent view of the snowy Alps, and on the other, the stunning landscape of Lake Zurich. The largest city in Switzerland, with many museums to visit, such as the Swiss National Museum housed in an alpine castle. If you are an art lover, you will not be disappointed, with over 100 galleries to choose from, or if you prefer shopping, you can stop at one of the high aesthetics boutiques. A unique destination for boating or lake walking and hiking on Mount Uetliberg. Zurich has the best nightlife in the country, with countless options to try local products, street food and drinks!

Interlaken will incite your senses

Formerly known as the centre for the manufacture of watches in Switzerland. Today, it is a popular natural resort of incredible beauty worldwide. Interlaken is located between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, with breathtaking views of the Eiger, Jungfrau and Monchmountains. Here you will find a list of many things that raise the adrenaline, such as paragliding, skiing and canyoning and hiking trails for those who want to visit in the summer. If you are hungry, you should try the exciting recipes with the cheeses of the area.

Geneva will captivate you

Perhaps most famous for being the “home” of the United Nations. In fact, Geneva is much more. The French-speaking “capital of peace”, as it is known, exudes a pleasant mix of French culture and Swiss structure. It gives you the opportunity for walks in the beautiful parks surrounding its lake, the largest alpine lake in Europe. A must-see destination in Switzerland, with the old town being a great place to walk among historic buildings. The Jet d‘Eau, a fountain on Lake Geneva that is a landmark of the city.

You should not miss the opportunity to visit Lausanne, about 60 km from Geneva. It has a beautiful view, and you can wander in the medieval old town, with cute cafes, boutiques and the fantastic cathedral. Cultural attractions include the Opera and the Grand Théâtre as well as many museums, including one dedicated exclusively to Switzerland’s famous clocks.

Zermatt: the treasure of Switzerland
