Unlike me, my man likes all the mushy Valentine’s Day stuff, so I like to make the effort for him at this holiday. I’ll be honest, I’m not the best at picking out gifts, ask me to shop for myself, it’ll be a breeze, but I find it super difficult to shop for other people! This year I went practical as well as cute.
O’Neill tshirt
I got this tshirt in the Surfdome sale, if you’ve never heard of Surfdome before I’d advise you to go check it out! They sell 100s of brands and hold awesome sales! I get all my converse and Joules clothes at Surfdome for insanely good prices! I think good quality clothing is so important as it lasts twice as long, so this tshirt was a great bargain!
Lovegiveink
This year I discovered the awesome brand Lovegiveink. Lovegiveink was created by Martha Keith who was inspired by her husband to create beautiful printed gifts and boy are they beautiful! I was lucky enough to win their most recent competition so was able to treat my boyfriend and I to some adorable couple gifts! Firstly an adorable little foiled heart decoration, Lovegiveink make multiple different shapes which can then be personalised with foiled writing of your choice. We can’t wait to hang our little heart up and it’s such an adorable Valentine’s gift (and definitely right up my boyfriends mushy street!) The second piece I got was a memory book. This again can be personalised and they have lots of different options and colours, I chose to get our initials on the front and then the date we officially got together on the inside. I am a major hoarder of things from all the places my boyfriend and I visit so I can’t wait for us to sit down and make this memory book together!
I love notebooks and this one is definitely going to be my all time favourite. It once again has gorgeous personalised foiling on the front and I just love the phrase ‘our love story‘ and there are plenty of different colours to choose from. The reason this is my favourite though is the printed photo inside the notebook. I know I’ll smile every time I open this book.
The last item (and probably my boyfriends favourite) are the foiled ‘Reasons I Love You‘ cards. You compose 10 different reasons why you love your other half and they’re printed on beautiful little cards and presented inside a gift box with foiled writing and you can add the name of your special someone too! This is such a special gift and something that can be cherished for years!
As you can tell I’m besotted with all the lovely things by Lovegiveink , you should definitely check out their website, they do lots of other personalised gifts for different occasions too!
Chocolate
Let’s be serious now, Valentine’s Day isn’t complete without chocolate and I’m pretty chuffed to say I found the coolest chocolate EVER. Marks&Spencer really outdid themselves this year with lots of awesome Valentine’s things but this was my personal favourite. A slab of milk chocolate shaped like a frame which you can write your own message on! The chocolate comes prepackaged in a little gift box with elasticated ribbon around it. You remove the ribbon and lid and lift out the little piece of white paper and set it in the middle of your ‘chocolate frame’, using a ballpoint pen simply write your message on the paper then peel it off and your pretty little picture or message is perfectly drawn on your chocolate! Pop it back in the little gift box and add the ribbon and you’re done! Super easy and super personal! (And super tasty too!)
I hope you enjoyed this little insight into my Valentine’s Day and hope you have a lovely day whatever you do! I also got myself a little Valentine’s treat so keep an eye out for a review and first impressions! Leave comments and let me know if you bought anything super adorable for yourself or your special some one!
