Dr Botanicals Anti-Oxidant Superfood Facial Oil

I was so excited when I received this Anti-Oxidant Superfood Facial Oil* to review. If you’ve read my skincare routine  you’ll know I currently don’t have a facial oil in my routine purely because I haven’t found one I’ve liked, but I’m hoping this will be the one! All Dr Botanical’s products are natural, cruelty free and vegan.

The first thing about this product I absolutely love is that it has only 15 ingredients! Having sensitive skin means it is so important to know exactly what you’re putting on your face so a product with 40 different ingredients with big words like ‘hydroxyethylpiperazine’ makes it pretty hard to know what’s actually in the product and might set your skin off. All 15 of the ingredients in this oil are completely natural!

The three main ingredients in this oil are Blackcurrant Seed Oil which nourishes, moisturises and strengthens skin. Wild Plum, which has healing properties and contains antioxidants to counteract aging and Sea Minerals which can relieve acne!

The oil is colourless and comes in a glass bottle with a little dropper. It smells very natural, the scent isn’t strong and over powering though. I’ve been taking four drops to cover my face, one on each cheek, one on my forehead and one on my chin. I would describe this as a ‘dry oil’ as when you massage it into your face and neck it’s absorbed instantly and you’re not left with a shiny face so it’s perfect for everyday use as well as before bed.

I’ve been loving this oil in my skincare routine, it’s so light you can barely feel it on your skin but it’s very moisturising. I was worried an oil would cause breakouts or a reaction on my skin but my face is clearer than ever so I’m very impressed.

The only negative thing I have to say about this product is the price tag but good quality skincare is so important that I think it’s worth splurging on and as you need so little I think this bottle will last me ages!

As this month contains Earth Day (22nd April for those of you who don’t know!) and this is such a ‘green’ product, Dr Botanicals have kindly given me a discount code to share with you for the month of April. If you enter the code PALEBLOG at checkout the Anti-Oxidant Superfood Facial Oil will be discounted from £67.50 to only £19.99! An absolutely incredible saving so now is definitely the time to snap this up!

I hope you liked this review, do you have a facial oil in your skincare routine already or are you on the hunt for a new one?
