There have been a few items I’ve been eyeing up on The Body Shop’s website for months now so when I saw they were having a sale I had to make a purchase! Thank you to those of you on twitter who gave me recommendations for what products I should try, I wish I had all the money in the world to get everything you all suggested! I decided to try four items for now (though I’ve got a growing list of products to try next time I place an order!)
Shade Adjusting Drops- Lightening
Having the palest skin ever makes it so difficult to find a foundation that doesn’t make me look like an oompah loompah. So I’ve been eyeing these lightening drops up for ages. I love the idea of being able to buy almost any foundation I want to try and just adding a few of these magical drops to make it match my skin tone. They’re very reasonably priced at £10 and I think they’ll definitely become a part of my daily makeup routine!
British Rose Eye & Cheek Palette
I’ve been on the lookout for a few new blushes and I loved the look of this palette, it was in the sale too so even better! The palette has two blushes, one matte and one shimmer and six eye shadows, three matte and three shimmer. The baby pink blush shade is matte and the peachy pink blush has very tiny bits of gold glitter running through it. I think it’s going to be a perfect summer blush! Three of the eyeshadow shades are on the nude/pink spectrum so will be perfect for everyday looks. The other three are blue/grey. Although I’m not sure about the blue shade, I think the grey will be great for a silvery smokey eye!
Tea Tree Skin Clearing Mattifying Toner
I’ve seen this product a lot in the blogging world and everyone seems to speak very highly of it, so I’ve had to give it a go! This toner is such incredible value, costing £6.00 for 250ml! I also love that the bottle is plastic as I have a serious tendency to drop my skincare products.. Opps! Tea tree is supposed to be great for breakouts. This toner minimises the appearance of pores as well as refreshing and clearing the skin. For those of you with oily skin, this toner contains ‘mattifying powders’ that reduce shine. I’m really looking forward to using this and really hope it helps with my breakouts!
Elderflower Unperfumed Eye Gel
Due to having such sensitive and dry skin, my eye area can get very irritated and sore. I’ve been lusting after the Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Hydra-Gel Eye Patches but the £46.50 price tag has been making me think twice about it. I thought this eye gel was a much more affordable option! It’s unperfumed so hopefully won’t irritate my sensitive eye area. I’ve also read you can keep it in the fridge so I’m hoping it’ll be very cooling on the skin. The little pot is only 15ml so it’s perfectly sized to pop in your handbag and bring with you during the day. I think this will really help when my eyes are irritated from hay fever in the summer too.
I hope you enjoyed seeing what I picked up this time round! Do you own any of these products? Feel free to add recommendations in the comments of other Body Shop products I should try, I’ll add them to my list!
