Seriously if there’s one palette you need to add to your collection this holiday season, it’s this. I’ve already mentioned the Urban Decay Heavy Metals palette during Christmas Gifting Week but I just had to talk about it some more and show you some swatches. Metallic shades are clearly the trend this season and Urban Decay have gone all out!
As I previously said, the Heavy Metal’s palette is created like an artist palette so it complete slides out to look like a paint mixer. One side has a mix of gorgeous champagnes, bronzes and reds while the other side is much more out there with blacks, silvers, blues, purples and even a green! I can’t help but be drawn to the champagne side, I haven’t stopped using the shade ‘ANGELFIRE’, it beautifully highlights the inner two thirds of the eyelid.
All of the shades in this palette are insanely soft, creamy and pigmented. Urban Decay have truly outdone themselves with this palette. It retails for only £43.00 baring in mind you get 20 shadows, each shadow costs only £2.15, a complete bargain! There is a shade for every occasion with this palette, I think it’d work for every style of makeup.

I absolutely love this side of the palette, the shades are perfect for making an everyday look a little more sparkly and magical. This is going to be a staple for me this Christmas.
I think you can tell from the swatches quite how beautiful the shadows in this palette really are. All of these swatches are only one single swipe in the palette, the colour pay off is just amazing. The shadows really pack on well and you don’t need too much product to create an extremely sparkly, metallic look. If my post hasn’t convinced you enough I’d highly advise heading to your nearest Urban Decay counter and swatching this for yourself, you’ll be sold in seconds!
