The colder autumnal weather has me changing up some of my skincare products so I wanted to share two of my favs from natural, organic skincare brand Antipodes. I’ve been using Antipodes products for a while now, I particularly fell in love with them during Veganuary this year.
First up is the Grace Gentle Cream Cleanser. It’s a thick creamy cleanser perfect for use in the morning or as a second cleanse. I personally find I’ve to use too much product if I want to remove makeup with this so I use a balm type cleanser first then the cream cleanser second. As this is cream based it’s non drying which is oh so important for us dry skinned gals, especially during the colder weather. The scent isn’t 100% my cup of tea but it’s still a lovely cleanser that does a good job and leaves my skin feeling soft and clean.
The other product I want to tell you about is the Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream. I’m not going to lie I absolutely hate the scent of vanilla so I was very anxious opening the tub of this. Thankfully rather than the sickly sweet vanilla from deserts this has a much more natural, musky scent of vanilla mixed with honey. This is a pretty thick day cream that’s perfect for the colder autumnal weather and dry skin. It takes a bit of time to sink into the skin so it’s worth popping this on once you’ve done your morning cleanse then while you potter about the house getting breakfast it can sink in so by the time you’re ready to do your makeup your skin is baby smooth. I don’t think it would be suited to your skin type if you have oily skin purely because it’s so heavy and risks clogging pores. I’ve actually used this as a night cream a few evenings and it works very well for that too so this is a great multitasking product.
